Pumpkins & Pansies

 

Last weekend we took our two little men out to pick up some pumpkins.  They enjoyed thumping on each and every one that Aaron showed them.  I enjoyed buying mums, pansies and cabbage for our pots on the front porch this winter. 

Alex never misses an opportunity to have his picture taken...

Will is usually too distracted to bother with pictures, but he ALWAYS stops to give a good snuggle...

12 Month Stats

You both passed your 12 month check-up last Friday with flying colors.  I however, quickly determined that I needed my super human powers to calm, corral and cuddle two naked babies who despised the idea of staying ON the exam table together.  If you want pure comedy, stop by the doctors office during our follow-up appointment in November.

Despite your wiggles, you managed to recover fairly quickly from FOUR shots each.  The band-aid line-up during tubby time later that night was impressive.

Our 18 month goals are to be bottle and binkie free.  We are 100% accomplished on the second and about 50% on the first.  Now if I could only get you to do your laundry...

Happy Birthday

A year ago today you were brand new, flirting with the 

NICU nurses and stealing our hearts.

Boy oh boy, look how much you have grown...

On Saturday, many of your greatest fans
gathered to celebrate your journey...

There were cupcakes...

Heaps of presents...

It was truly a blur.

At the end of it all, there were wonderful memories, 

new traditions and tired boys on the couch...

You two are so lucky to be loved by so many.
