Christmas 2011

Christmas this year was a marvelous mixture of new and old, with a heap of curious and active thrown in for good measure.  We decorated a small tree with simple unbreakable ornaments and kept all of the festive bits tucked away from tabletop edges.  Even the stockings (pre-Christmas bounty) had to be hung higher to avoid the tug of little fingers.

On Christmas morning, the boys tore open a few presents.  Alex enjoyed plucking ornaments off of the tree and playing with his new Slinky...

Will munched on the animal crackers from his stocking and the wrapping paper...

Santa even left a few toys under the tree...

We cleared away the debris from the morning frenzy and spent the afternoon celebrating Christmas with Grandma & Grandpa Terry and Uncle Matt.  Hosting brunch was the perfect excuse for me to buy fresh flowers...

After mimosa's and plenty of food, we unwrapped more presents.  I loved seeing Aaron, Grandpa Terry and Uncle Matt piled on the couch with the boys...

It was truly a special day.  Much love and many thanks to everyone
who made our holiday so memorable.

  1. Your count down to Christmas was so much fun. I don't know how you had the time to do it. Grandpa and Grandma enjoyed every single picture and all your comments. What a great journal for Will and Alex.
    Love you
