June 2013

Things you are saying...
It's sunny outside!
Look Mom, it's not raining
Don't panic, I got this
Let's go play in the other water (splash pad at a park)
Let's go on an adventure

Things you are watching...
Jungle Book
The Blue Elephant
Mighty Machines
Wallace & Gromit

Things you are eating...
Tortillas
Toast
Sweet mini peppers
Cherry tomatoes off the vine
Snap peas off the vine
Raspberries
Broccoli

Things you are saying in the backseat...

Will: 'What happened to that tree brother?'
Alex: 'It fell down'
Will: 'No it didn't, it's standing up'
Alex: 'Where? Over there?'
Will: 'No that way'
Alex: 'Okay brother, it's standing up'

William...

You lectured a bumblebee and threatened to get a highchair and put it in timeout. All because Alex fell in a lavender bush and got a sliver that you both thought was a bee sting.

When making your book selection for the evening you often remark that the books that you are putting back are 'too busy'. You picked your nose in the tubby tonight and asked for a tissue. When I gave it to you, you wiped it off of your finger and made a tight ball saying, 'My booger is tired now, I put it in it's room so that it can sleep'.

Yesterday, you told me that the monsters pooped all over your bed. You continued your poop discussion with talk of spiders pooping, birds pooping, babies pooping, books pooping...pretty much everything was pooping.

The other night you told me that you were scared of monsters but it was okay because they weren't in our habitat.

Alexander...

You love to sleep on your stomach with your baby doll shoved up the front of your shirt. Apparently you shove your blanket in your shirt during nap time at school as well.

Whenever you are watching a movie, you grab a corner of something to distractedly chew on. All of the quilts and blankets in the house are fair game for the slobber fest.

You talk your brother through some of his 'terrible two' moments by sweetly chiming in with 'It's okay brother, things are okay, you're okay.'

Every time we are getting ready for bed, you are the first one to lay down and repeatedly remind us that you're a good boy because you are laying down. The problem is, you are still talking long after Will has fallen asleep.
